Leighton shortlisted for three Dynamites Awards

The awards celebrate the North East’s IT and technology industry and recognise individuals and organisations that have demonstrated unparalleled dedication, innovation, and excellence in their respective fields.
This year, Leighton has been shortlisted in two categories; Growth Explosion and Skills Developer with its Principal Solutions Architect, Lee Gilmore, also being shortlisted in the Tech Champion category.
The shortlisting for Growth Explosion follows a year of record growth with a 31% increase in revenue during the 2024 financial year, extensive recruitment across its executive and sales teams and the projected creation of over 20 jobs in the next 12 months.
Meanwhile the Skills Developer shortlisting is testament to the incredibly hard work that’s gone in to giving Leighton colleagues the opportunity to better themselves both personally and professionally, learn new skills and progress within the organisation.
Lee’s shortlisting for Tech Champion recognises the significant impact he’s had on the tech sector throughout his career and his ongoing commitment to shaping the industry’s future.
Speaking on the shortlisting Claire Cundill, CBO at Leighton said: “It’s fantastic to receive news of one shortlisting, never mind three, especially given the stiff competition within each of the categories. You just have to look at the volume of other companies and individuals that are shortlisted to understand the quality of work going on across our industry and it feels great to be part of that.
“We’re delighted to have made the shortlists. It really is testament to the hard work of every single colleague at Leighton and their continued commitment to driving our business forward.
