Leighton is proud to announce that we have been named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™.

The Best Workplaces for Wellbeing list focuses on employees’ holistic experiences of wellbeing at work, including their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, social support, job satisfaction, and financial security, to reveal the best workplaces for wellbeing in the UK.

Our inclusion on this exclusive list officially acknowledges our commitment to create a consistently and overwhelmingly positive colleague experience, to foster cultures that are proven to drive business, improve lives, and better society. Over the past 18 months we have introduced numerous new benefits and policies to solidify our commitment to colleague wellbeing.

To compile the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing List, Great Place To Work® reviewed our culture, benefits, approach to leadership and development, alongside anonymous responses from our colleagues. They then used these data insights to benchmark our company's employee value proposition against the culture our employees actually experience. Only the businesses who achieve the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces™ status.

From our anonymous employee feedback, we can see that overall our team highly commends our dedication to improve and grow our internal culture across our business.

One colleague referenced flexibility in their feedback: “Leighton is a company that really cares about its people, they are at the heart of everything they do. The flexibility and autonomy every colleague is offered is unparalleled, whether it be how they work, when they work, where they work or their own career development.”

James Bunting, CEO of Leighton said: "We’re incredibly proud to be recognised as one of the Best Workplaces for Wellbeing by Great Places to Work UK. At the heart of our success is a culture that genuinely values our people. Where support, growth, and balance aren’t just words but the foundation of how we work. This recognition is a testament to our team’s commitment to creating an environment where everyone can thrive."

Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work UK says: “Wellbeing, engagement, and trust between employees are critical ingredients to successful workplace culture. Now in our third year of the UK's Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™ list, we’re able to showcase the leading UK organisations providing environments conducive to outstanding psychological, physical, financial and social wellbeing. It’s no secret that by ensuring employees feel genuinely trusted and cared for, they are much healthier, productive and committed to the mission and purpose of the organisation. Congratulations to Leighton for making this prestigious list!”

This award is our fifth from Great Place To Work over the past 12 months as we also featured in the UK's Best Workplaces™ 2024 and UK's Best Workplaces for Development™ 2024 lists!

We’re so proud of this achievement and look forward to using the valuable insights Great Place To Work has provided us with to build on our culture and colleague satisfaction. If you would like to be part of our team, check out our latest vacancies here.
